Cool Places. Good Food. Nice Sheets. That pretty much sums it up.

I’m obsessed with traveling. Others may like to play golf, have season tickets or go to the theater, but I spend all my time and money on travel.

Whenever my friends are heading somewhere, they alway ask “I’m going here, what should I do? Where should I stay? Where should I eat?” After sending hundreds of cut-and-paste emails of suggestions, I finally decided to save them all up and put them in one website. The website has grown from there.

Not Everything, Just What You Need to Know

I don’t consider this to be a blog, it’s more of a resource website and directory to save you time. Not everything, just what you need to know. Where to go. What to do. Where to eat. Where to sleep.

This is not meant to be comprehensive or all-encompassing. Others do that better. I just want to help other travelers, like me, who are looking for The Perfect Experience wherever they go; sharing what I’ve seen, treasures I’ve found and mistakes I’ve made.

As you’ll see, I have an opinion, hence “YouShouldGoHere”.

Cutting to the Chase, Finding Unexpected Places

I don’t like people, or crowds, or the predictable, so I try to seek out cool places others don’t know about yet, far from big cities. As you will notice, I love great food and nice sheets.

Some people don’t care about hotels — “Just give me a bed and shower”— but to me, the hotel is the best part of the experience. Hotels are my passion and I seek out cool places all over the world, often building my whole trip around a single place. They’re not always cheap, often expensive, but I also love a good find.

I’m a visual guy, so this site is driven by pictures. I like to see something cool and then go find it. So this site is built that way too. I like to tell stories through pictures. Add a few necessary details and send you links to more detailed info.

Because this isn’t really a blog, I only update it after a trip and use it as a big shoebox of ideas to save, share and refer to. For much more
